Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

The Institutional Social Responsibility & Extension Activities Cell (ISREAC)/ Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell is an important initiative of St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, for students under the management’s guidance and faculty of our college. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, as a flagship program of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government of India has been working towards a holistic approach to uplift the rural areas and bring them at par with growth sustenance and self-reliance. As a Participating Institute in this noble initiative, St. Xavier's College, Jaipur, has adopted five villages from two panchayats under this cell. The villages of Jaisinghpura Gram Panchayat are Jaisinghpura, Narottampura and Chak Harbanspura, and those of Mahapura Gram Panchayat are Khatwara and Chatarpura @ Lalya Ka Bas. Through UBA Cell, the students engaged in various social activities that were conducted in the villages adopted by the college, divided among the departments. This cell served as a catalyst to bring about a holistic, all-round development of the students apart from their academic activities and other extracurricular. Our college took up this initiative to inculcate a value system that adheres to social responsibility and makes the students well-aware and empathetic toward their surroundings
